Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to Zipivo: Unzip & File Viewer for Android (package com.dreamtech.file.ziper.read), published by DreamTech.VN, operated by Nguyễn Đức Minh ("we", "our", or "us").
Zipivo provides file browsing, ZIP creation and extraction, reading of supported archive formats, document and media previews, and an encrypted, PIN-protected Vault. You do not need a DreamTech account. We do not operate a Zipivo cloud account, file-upload, or file-synchronization service.
This app-specific policy governs Zipivo instead of the website's general app privacy notice. Please also read the Zipivo Terms of Service.
Files and Information Processed on Your Device
When you choose a file, folder, archive, or storage location, the App accesses the information needed for your requested operation. Depending on the feature, this includes:
- File contents for compression, extraction, preview, playback, copying, moving, or Vault encryption
- Names, folder paths or document URIs, file types, sizes, modification dates, and archive entries
- Recent archives, task history and progress, saved folder bookmarks and access grants, and settings such as language and compression preferences
- Checksums used to verify file operations and protect against deleting an unverified original
File processing is performed on your device. Zipivo does not upload your files or their contents to DreamTech servers for compression, extraction, preview, or Vault storage. Advertising and billing have separate network data flows, described below.
If you select a cloud-backed location through Android's document picker, that storage provider may download or upload the file as part of the operation you request. Its service terms and privacy policy also apply.
Vault, PINs, and Archive Passwords
The Vault encrypts stored file contents on your device using AES-256-GCM and device-bound key protection. Full file names within the encrypted Vault files are also encrypted. A local Vault index retains supporting metadata, including file types, sizes, dates, checksums, and shortened name hints; that index is not itself a guarantee that all metadata is encrypted.
The App stores PIN verification and wrapped-key information locally. Archive passwords are used locally for the requested operation and are not intentionally written into task history or sent to DreamTech. We cannot retrieve a forgotten Vault PIN or archive password.
Vault files, the App's main database, and its main preferences are excluded from the App's configured Android cloud-backup and device-transfer rules. The Vault is not a backup or cross-device recovery service. Export important files before clearing App data, uninstalling, resetting the device, or moving to another device.
Choosing Forgot PIN? / Reset vault and confirming the deletion removes all files stored in the Vault so that you can create a new PIN. This cannot be undone by DreamTech. Entering an incorrect PIN does not, by itself, trigger this reset.
Adding a file to the Vault does not automatically make every other copy private. If you keep an original outside the Vault or export a decrypted copy, that copy remains under the protection of its storage location and any app you share it with.
Permissions and System Access
Access depends on your Android version and the features you use. You can review and revoke permissions in Android Settings or use the App's file-access entry in Settings.

Zipivo does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, or precise-location permissions in this version. Access to an image, video, or audio file for viewing or playback is file access, not access to your camera or microphone.
Advertising, Consent, and SDK Data
The free version uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK, through our VKey ads library, and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for applicable consent messages. Formats can include banner, native, interstitial, app-open, and optional rewarded ads.
According to Google's SDK disclosure, advertising services process network addresses, device or account-related identifiers where applicable, interaction events, and performance or diagnostic information. An IP address may be used to infer an approximate region. The purposes include ad delivery, measurement and analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Zipivo does not supply your archive contents, document contents, Vault files, PIN, or archive password to advertising requests. Local file processing does not mean that the entire App makes no network connections or that advertising collects no data.
Where required, the App displays Google's consent choices. An Ad privacy options entry appears in App Settings when the consent service requires it. You may also manage advertising identifiers and advertising privacy options in Android Settings, where supported. Available options and ad behavior depend on your region, device, and consent choices.
Pro disables the App's ad placements while the App recognizes an active Pro entitlement. Purchasing Pro does not retroactively erase information already processed by an advertising provider.
This version does not integrate Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics. Ad-related measurement and diagnostics by Google may still occur as described above. Google's processing is explained in the Google Privacy Policy and information about Google advertising technologies.
Purchases and Subscription Information
Purchases and payment collection are handled by Google Play Billing, through the VKey billing library. Google may process your Google account and payment information under its own policies. DreamTech does not receive your complete card or bank-account details.
The App processes purchase-related information returned by Google Play, such as product and base-plan identifiers, purchase tokens, purchase or renewal status, and acknowledgement and entitlement information. Purchase status and a local entitlement cache are used to unlock Pro, restore eligible purchases, and check continued access. The App may need to reconnect to Google Play periodically.
Zipivo does not require a separate DreamTech login to buy or restore Pro. Deleting App data or uninstalling does not delete Google's purchase records or cancel a subscription. You can manage subscriptions in Google Play Subscriptions.
Sharing, External Apps, and Temporary Copies
When you choose to share, export, or open a file in another application, Android grants access to the file or a copy to the destination you select. The destination app, recipient, or cloud provider may retain or transmit it according to its own practices. This includes exported Vault files, which are no longer protected by the Vault once exported as ordinary files.
Some previews and file operations create temporary working files or extracted copies in App-private cache. The App attempts to clean up relevant temporary files when processing or viewing ends and reclaim stale work or preview files on later startup. This is not a promise of immediate removal in every crash, interruption, storage-provider, or operating-system situation.
If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to include. Please avoid sending PINs, archive passwords, or private files unless you intentionally want to disclose them.
Retention and Deletion
- Local records and settings: remain on your device until removed through the relevant App feature, Android's clear-storage function, or uninstalling. You can clear task history where offered by the App.
- Ordinary source and output files: archives, extracted files, and exported documents in shared or provider storage may remain after uninstalling. Delete those separately using an appropriate file manager or storage provider.
- Vault files: can be removed through Vault actions or the explicit Vault reset. Clearing App storage or uninstalling can destroy access to Vault contents and keys. A Vault reset does not delete files outside the Vault.
- Other copies: deleting an App copy does not remove files already shared, exported, or retained by another app or provider.
- Google service data: advertising, consent, and payment records are retained according to Google's applicable policies and legal requirements. Clearing local App data does not necessarily delete these records.
- Support correspondence: is retained as needed to address your request, follow up on issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. You can contact us about deletion.
There is no DreamTech account to delete. We do not hold a server-side copy of your local files that we can retrieve, erase remotely, or restore for you.
Security and Your Backups
We use measures such as App-private storage, permission checks, encryption for the Vault, and password-protected ZIP options. They reduce risk but do not guarantee immunity from device compromise, malicious files, weak passwords, storage failure, or data loss.
A password-protected ZIP is different from the Vault. ZIP encryption may protect file contents while still exposing archive entry names. Keep independent backups and verify important output before deleting originals. Removing a file is not a promise of forensic secure erasure from flash storage, backups, or third-party systems.
Your Choices, Rights, and International Processing
You can stop using optional features, revoke file or folder access in Android Settings, manage applicable ad-consent choices, and delete local data as described above. Revoking access may prevent operations that depend on that access.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant supervisory authority. Contact us using the details below. We cannot access files that are only on your device; requests about Google's own records may also need to be directed to Google.
Where applicable, consent is used for advertising storage or personalization that requires consent. Other processing supports features or purchases you request, security and fraud prevention, and applicable legal obligations or legitimate interests, subject to your rights under local law.
Google and other providers you choose may process information outside your country. Their privacy policies explain their locations, safeguards, and applicable rights.
Children
Zipivo is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13 or a higher applicable age of consent. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us without required parental permission, contact us so that we can review the request and take appropriate action. Local files are controlled on the device; we cannot remotely inspect them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when features, service providers, or data practices change. We will revise the date on this page and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law. This notice describes the App version reviewed on the date above.
